The next chapter is being built...
SO... WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH VEXIA?
We know it has been quiet lately.
No huge announcements. No constant teasers. No massive changelogs every few days.
And we know some of you may be wondering what is actually happening behind the scenes.
The answer is simple: development has not stopped.
Quite the opposite.
The silence simply means that our priorities have changed. Instead of focusing on small updates and additional content, we have decided to put our full attention into something much bigger.

THE ENGINE COMES FIRST
Over the past months, it became very clear what the majority of the Vexia community is waiting for:
The next edition.
Instead of continuing to build new content on the current engine and eventually having to rebuild everything again, we decided to take a step back and focus on the foundation of the server itself.
Our current priority is the migration of Vexia to a much newer engine and protocol.
And we are already much further than you might think.
Current development status:
Protocol 15.31 - Custom map migrated - New systems implemented - Custom content migration in progress
VEXIA IS ALREADY RUNNING ON PROTOCOL 15.31
We currently have a dedicated test server running on protocol 15.31.
This is not an empty test environment. We have already implemented several major systems that were introduced along the way.
- Weapon Prophecy
- New Task System
- New engine systems, mechanics and vocation reballance
- The entire custom Vexia map
Yes - the whole custom map has already been migrated to the new engine.
That was one of the biggest steps in the process.
But the work is far from finished.
NOW COMES THE BIG PART
Vexia is not a vanilla server.
Over time, we have built a huge amount of custom content - custom systems, items, mechanics, quests, bosses, scripts and interactions.
All of that now needs to be transferred, adapted and tested on the new engine.
And there is a lot of it.
This is exactly why the migration requires time.
We could rush everything, put it on the live server and fix problems later.
We do not want to do that.
Every system needs to work correctly. Every custom item needs to behave as intended. Every quest and mechanic needs to be tested.
Our goal is not to release a half-finished migration.
Our goal is for the new version to feel like the Vexia you know - only better, stronger and built on a much better foundation.
TEST - FIX - OPTIMIZE - RELEASE
Our development process is currently focused on several stages:
- Migration - transferring Vexia systems and content to the new engine.
- Rebuilding - adapting custom mechanics where the new engine requires changes.
- Testing - checking systems, items, quests and gameplay interactions.
- Optimization - fixing issues and improving stability.
- Internal testing - making sure everything works together.
- Release - moving the new engine to the live server.
We will not move the new engine to the live server until we believe the new version is ready.
Quality comes first.
WHEN CAN YOU EXPECT IT?
If everything continues according to plan, our current rough target is approximately:
ABOUT 1 MONTH
Within roughly a month, we should be in a position where Vexia can run on protocol 15.31 together with the new systems, migrated content and the next major progression update.
And yes...
THE LEVEL 2000 QUEST IS COMING.
The next stage of Vexia's progression will introduce new content designed specifically for high-level characters.
We are not going to reveal everything just yet.
More information will be revealed when we get closer to the release.
THE NEXT EDITION
If development reaches the quality level we expect, we are currently aiming for the next edition to launch shortly before Christmas this year.
However, this time there is one very important difference.
IT WILL NOT BE ANOTHER SEASON.
A PERMANENT VEXIA
The next edition is planned to become a permanent server.
- No scheduled wipe.
- No forced reset.
- No character disappearing after a season.
- Your progress will remain yours.
- Your achievements will stay with you.
We want this version of Vexia to become the long-term home for our players.
Your journey will continue.
WHAT ABOUT FUTURE SEASONS?
This does not mean that seasonal editions will never return.
If we decide to introduce additional seasons in the future, the winter edition will serve as the Offseason server.
Characters from future seasonal editions would eventually be transferred to the permanent offseason environment when their season ends.
Season - Offseason - Permanent Progress
The goal is simple: your progress should never simply disappear.
VEXIA IS NO LONGER A ONE-MAN PROJECT
There is another important change we want to share.
Until now, most of the development and maintenance of Vexia has been handled by one person.
Development, systems, bugs, quests, map work, engine changes, server infrastructure and everything else required to keep the project moving.
That has naturally placed limitations on how quickly we could develop new features and updates.
That has now changed.
ANOTHER PERSON HAS JOINED THE VEXIA TEAM.
We now have additional development support behind the scenes, allowing us to work on multiple areas simultaneously and move forward much faster.
- More development power
- More ideas and solutions
- More work happening simultaneously
- Faster testing and bug fixing
- Faster overall progress
This is a very important step for the future of Vexia.
AND YES - VEXIA IS STILL LIVE
Before the questions start:
THE CURRENT SERVER IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE.
The current Vexia server will remain online and playable throughout the entire development process.
We are not shutting down the current server.
It will remain live until the launch of the next edition.
Your characters, progress and achievements remain there.
THE SILENCE DOES NOT MEAN WE STOPPED
We know that from the outside it may sometimes look like nothing is happening.
But behind the scenes, we are currently working on one of the biggest technical changes Vexia has ever gone through.
The silence is not because we ran out of ideas.
It is because we are spending our time building instead of talking.
We do not want to announce every small change or promise something before it is ready.
We want to come back when we have something meaningful to show you.
Something that makes you say:
"THIS IS VEXIA."
